Bangkok: Two rap influencers have been apprehended by the Central Investigation Bureau police for openly posting about selling methamphetamine pills on a popular application. The influencers claimed they were feeling high-spirited and sought money for partying.
According to Thai News Agency, the arrests took place at the influencers' homes. The Central Investigation Police, along with the Technology Crime Suppression Division, discovered that the influencers, Mr. Sanpanat and Mr. Atsada, were advertising narcotics to their large following. Authorities acted swiftly, bypassing the need for the influencers to report to the police station by visiting their homes with an arrest warrant.
Evidence collected during the operation included a bag containing a powdery substance resembling narcotics and a bank account linked to the illicit activities. During interrogation, both influencers admitted to their actions, stating that they posted about selling methamphetamine as they were feeling high and eager to make money for partying.
