Bangkok: Shin Yoshida, a staff coach for the Thai women's national volleyball team, recently took to social media to address his departure from the Japanese national team. His statement comes after he received numerous comments and private messages suggesting that he had independently chosen to leave his position with the Japanese team before transitioning to his new role in Thailand.
According to Thai News Agency, Coach Shin clarified that his contract with the Japanese national team, where he served as an analyst and interpreter until 2025, had expired and was not renewed. It was after this contract expiration that the Volleyball Association of Thailand and its coaching staff, aware of his availability, offered him a position with their national team.
Coach Shin emphasized that he holds no ill feelings towards the Japanese Volleyball Association. He expressed his readiness to fulfill his responsibilities with professionalism. Should he be tasked with leading the Thai national team against Japan, he is committed to doing his utmost to secure a victory for his team.
