Chiang Mai: 'Fon Leb' is a unique dance form of the Lanna people. It has been used in celebrations of important occasions for a long time. During this Songkran festival, Chiang Mai will be 729 years old and will hold a grand celebration. They are preparing to mobilize almost 20,000 dancers to perform the most fingernail dances, breaking a world record, in order to spread the beauty of the Lanna fingernail dance to the eyes of the world.

According to Thai News Agency, this record-breaking event is set to highlight the cultural heritage of the Lanna people and showcase their traditional dance form, Fon Leb, on a global stage. The massive gathering of nearly 20,000 dancers aims not only to break a world record but also to mark the historical significance of Chiang Mai's 729th anniversary.
