For toothfish, it is a high-value fish and is conservatively controlled to prevent extinction under the CCAMLR Convention. There were 289 tons of snow fish imported, valued at 327.97 million baht, and exported 2.67 tons, valued at 0.91 million baht. As a result, Thailand was able to expand the snowfish export market to 26 CCAMLR member countries, namely Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, China, Ecuador, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Namibia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Russia, South Africa, Spain. Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay and European Union. The above countries will not accept snowfish from countries that have not implemented the CCAMLR catch record system.

In the past year, the global snowfish trading value was 20,872 million baht, with the main importers being the United States, Singapore, and Spain. Prepared to comply with the agreement that the Department of Fisheries has made with CCAMLR to ensure that the export is correct. Thailand is ready in terms of production standards that are internationally accepted. There is also a control system to inspect imported aquatic animals to ensure that aquatic animals do not come from illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, in line with the Marine Resources Conservation Standards.
