Bangkok: Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) continues to move forward after General Prawit Wongsuwan stepped down, denying any merger with Bhumjaithai Party. A spokesperson confirmed that the Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) will continue moving forward after General Prawit's retirement, denied rumors of a merger with the Bhumjaithai Party, and emphasized the introduction of new generation members to strengthen the party.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Yutthana Sritabutr, MP for Nong Khai and Secretary-General and spokesperson of the Palang Pracharath Party, clarified rumors of a merger with the Bhumjaithai Party, stating that they were untrue. He explained that the party is merely participating in the government as usual and will continue its work. Mr. Sritabutr added that General Prawit Wongsuwan has retired from politics but continues to serve as an advisor. He acknowledged that the party needs to adapt, and its current focus is on supporting various policies and pushing for laws that benefit the people.
Simultaneously, the party appointed Ms. Pavarisa Srichayangkul as party director, a young leader tasked with driving and restructuring the party, including relocating its headquarters to better suit the five MPs it currently holds. Mr. Yutthana affirmed that the party can continue its work under the leadership of Ms. Trinuch Thianthong, the party leader, who possesses extensive political experience, and that the party will remain committed to working within the Palang Pracharath Party. He reiterated the party's stance of maintaining its role as a coalition partner working for the people and its unwavering commitment to conducting politics within the Palang Pracharath Party.
