Bangkok: Senior professional golfers are giving intensive training to the Thai national team before they compete in the ASEAN Golf Championship in Hong Kong. Mr. Rangsarit Laksitanont, President of the Golf Association of Thailand, visited and encouraged the Thai national men's and women's golf teams during their training camp in preparation for the Southeast Asian Amateur Golf Team Championships 2026 in Hong Kong from September 15-18.
According to Thai News Agency, Coach Rangsarit has set a target for the Thai team to perform their best in all four cups: Putra Cup, Santi Cup, Kartini Cup, and Lion Cup, especially the Santi Cup, where they aim to retain the championship for another year. This training camp featured "Pro Poom" Poom Saksaensilp, along with senior pros such as Pro Pompetch, Pro Mex, and Pro Jet, who shared their experiences and offered advice on preparation, competition strategies, and handling situations on the course.
The Thai national team is scheduled to travel to Hong Kong on September 13th, before competing from September 15th to 18th, hoping to win championships and achieve their best results in all four tournaments.
