The team is scheduled to depart for Japan on September 13, following an intensive training camp.
According to Thai News Agency, the team has been diligently preparing at the BGTC 3 training ground, focusing on tactical drills and testing various formations under the leadership of Thanakrit Chotimueangpak, Ussamma Thiangkham, and Pichitchai Siankrathok. The team's preparations are aimed at fine-tuning their strategies and correcting any mistakes before they face formidable opponents in the competition.
Sittha Boonla, confident in his readiness, stated, "Personally, I'm 100% ready. As for the team, we're gradually adjusting and correcting mistakes to face our opponents in the Asian Games. This tournament will be difficult because we'll be facing strong opponents. We need to prepare ourselves and try to correct our mistakes to improve."
Coach Wang Thawatchai Damrongongtrakul has been instrumental in providing guidance, drawing from his experience to offer advice on life skills essential for the team's journey. The primary goal remains winning a medal, though the team acknowledges the unpredictability of the final outcome.
The Thai national team will complete their training in Thailand by September 12th before heading to Japan. They are placed in Group A, with their first match against Kyrgyzstan on September 16th, followed by a game against Hong Kong on September 20th, and concluding the group stage against Japan on September 23rd. The top two teams from the group will advance to the knockout round, providing Thailand with a chance to achieve their medal aspirations.
