Leicester City Relegated to League One After Draw with Hull City

Leicester: Leicester City, the former Premier League champions of the 2015-2016 season, have officially been relegated to League One after drawing 2-2 at home against Hull City in the Championship last night. Hull City took the lead 1-0 through Liam Millar in the 18th minute, but Leicester equalized in the 52nd minute through a penalty converted by Jordan James. They then took the lead 2-1 in the 54th minute through Luke Thomas, but Hull City equalized again in the 63rd minute through Oliver McBurnie.

According to Thai News Agency, the game ended in a draw, leaving Leicester with 42 points and in 23rd place in the table. Although they have two games remaining, it's not enough to avoid relegation. This marks their second consecutive relegation and their first drop to the third tier of English football since the 2008-2009 season.

Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, owner of Leicester City Football Club, issued a statement accepting responsibility after the team's relegation to League One next season, but vowed to lead the team forward. The statement read: "To all fans, relegation to League One has been officially confirmed. The responsibility rests with me as chairman of the club. I have no excuses whatsoever. We have been through the best times and now we are at our lowest point. This pain is shared by all of us. I sincerely apologize for the disappointment caused by our actions. I understand the strong feelings of the fans; we do not ignore your support, especially during these times. Now we are focused on the future. We will make decisions and take what is necessary to move the club forward. Together we will rebuild, improve, and restore the standards that Leicester City expects."

"Our goal is clear: we will respond strongly and compete to take this club forward once again. We will face this head-on. We will move forward together."

Meanwhile, league leaders Coventry City continued their impressive form, thrashing Portsmouth 5-1 at home to secure the championship and guaranteed promotion to the Premier League.
