Ministry of Labour Joins Ordination of 95 Monks in Honour of King Rama 9

On December 3 2016 at 12.00, Labour Minister General Sirichai Distakul chaired the monk ordination ceremony, alongside his wife Khun Pornphimol Distakul and Permanent Secretary of Labour M.L. Puntrik Smiti. A total of 95 men took part in the monk ordination comprising employers, staff and government officers, in a show of loyalty and honour to late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The Ministry of Labour’s executives including Deputy Permanent Secretary Mr. Anurak Tossarat, Inspector-General Mr. Soothi Sukosol, the Department of Employment’s Director-General Mr. Singhadet Chu-umnart, the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare’s Director-General Mr. Sumet Mahosot, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Skills Development and acting Inspector-General Mr. Vichai Kongrattanachat also partook in the origination at Rama 9 Temple on Kanchanapisek road in Bangkok.

All 95 men will carry out their monkhood at Yannasangwararam Worawiharn temple in Chon Buri from 4 � 17 December 2016 and will leave monkhood on Saturday 17 December 2016. Throughout monkhood, they will take part in royal charitable causes and study Buddhist schools of discipline and principles.
