AIS PLAY Secures Exclusive Broadcasting Rights for Asian Games 2026

Bangkok: AIS PLAY has announced its plans to broadcast the 20th Asian Games, Aichi-Nagoya 2026, live from Japan. As the exclusive rights holder for OTT and online platforms in Thailand, AIS PLAY will deliver the event across 18 channels from September 19 to October 4, 2026. The coverage will include a wide range of sports and performances by Thai athletes, ensuring fans can follow every moment closely. According to Thai News Agency, the Asian Games will officially commence on September 19, 2026, with an opening ceremony at Paloma Mitsuho Stadium. Directed by Japanese filmmaker Yukihiko Tsutsumi, the ceremony will showcase the theme 'Harmonic Heart Beat.' AIS PLAY will broadcast the event live, allowing Thai sports fans to experience the ceremony starting at 4:00 PM. Ms. Rungtip Jarusiripipat, Head of Entertainment Business at AIS, expressed that AIS PLAY aims to connect Thai viewers with the Asian Games through its live broadcasting technology. This initiative will allow fans to stay engaged with the compet ition and support Thai athletes from anywhere. The platform invites fans to unite in cheering for the Thai team as they aim for victory on the continental stage. AIS PLAY will offer 18 channels for viewers, including three channels with Thai commentary focusing on national athletes and popular sports like football, volleyball, athletics, and badminton. These channels will feature commentary from well-known figures such as Weerasak Nilklad, Theerayut Bunchanongsa, and Pairoj Kingkaew. The remaining channels will provide direct broadcasts from Nagoya, and a special esports channel will feature professional Thai commentary. Highlights and replays will be available, ensuring fans do not miss important moments. Additionally, AIS plans to transform AIS SIAM into a "Hub for Cheering on Thailand," featuring LED screens for fans to watch significant matches and support Thai athletes. The venue will be a gathering space for sports enthusiasts to enjoy tournaments and celebrate potential victories. Sports fans can ac cess the Asian Games by subscribing to the PLAY ALL package.
