Boss Paul’s Lawyer Clarifies DSI’s Lack of Coordination on Pyramid Scheme Charges.

Bangkok: Boss Paul's legal representative, Mr. Witoon Kaengngan, disclosed that the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) has not yet coordinated to file additional charges related to pyramid schemes against his client, Mr. Woraratphon Woratworakul, also known as Boss Paul. The legal team is currently focused on preparing necessary documents and evidence, while Boss Paul remains unconcerned about potential charges. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Witoon shared insights with the media following a nearly five-hour questioning session. The interrogation addressed two distinct cases involving Boss Paul, the female complainant who owns the Krisanong Anti-Corruption page, and Mr. Thawinpat Phuphatthanarin (Boss Win). Mr. Witoon advised his client to provide truthful statements, though he did not partake in the interrogation. Instead, he reviewed the statement of Mr. Jiravat Saengphakdi (Coach Lab), a figure in a separate extortion case linked to the Crime Assistance Club Foundation. Mr. Witoon revealed th at he would pass the female complainant's case to another legal team due to fatigue and limited progress in his current responsibilities. He emphasized the importance of document and evidence preparation for submission to the DSI should additional charges be filed. Currently, the DSI has not communicated when charges under the Emergency Decree on Fraudulent Loans or Ponzi Schemes might be pursued against Boss Paul, who remains unperturbed by the prospect. The lawyer has organized a substantial defense, preparing 2,400 witnesses, with 1,539 verified identities. Among them is an expert with over a decade of experience in Ponzi scheme law. Witness testimonies, primarily from product manufacturers, will be submitted in document form. Mr. Witoon highlighted that while evidence was being prepared, additional witness identities needed confirmation before submission to the DSI. The DSI has requested a list of witnesses to facilitate the investigation, as they have not fully reviewed the police-provided case file. S peculation about charges against Boss Di Icon this Friday remains unconfirmed, with Mr. Witoon asserting that any such move would require prior contact. He stressed the necessity of interviewing all witnesses to ensure justice, warning of potential consequences if the case is lost. Mr. Witoon expressed confidence in the DSI's impartial proceedings and indicated readiness for fair cooperation. However, he firmly opposed any reduction in witness numbers, affirming his commitment to justice for the accused.
