Lop buri: Wat Phra Bat Nam Phu has firmly denied allegations that it discarded donated items, attributing the confusion to the overwhelming volume of donations managed by only two individuals. Meanwhile, "Big Tao" has pointed out inconsistencies in Dr. B's testimony, suggesting an attempt to evade responsibility. According to Thai News Agency, the Thammarak Niwet 2 project, a significant initiative by Wat Phra Bat Nam Phu, occupies a 2,000-rai area in Nong Muang District, Lop Buri Province. Originally owned by the temple, the land is currently under the name of a former treasurer's heir. The site consists of small houses for HIV-infected patients, with 70% reportedly abandoned, and a key hospital facility that is nearly complete but not operational. During a recent inspection, officials found a variety of items such as chairs, face masks, and medical supplies stored in a warehouse. Although certain medications, like red water elemental medicine, are not expired, some are deemed unusable. The project's manag er clarified that reports of item discarding are inaccurate, emphasizing that only two patients are tasked with sorting the donations. Usable items, even if expired, are retained, while health officials assess the viability of medications. Treasurer Mr. Somporn disclosed that Dr. B failed to meet with Luang Por Alongkot as promised, shifting the matter to his legal team. Meanwhile, expired items like rice and water are repurposed or sold to support the temple. Pol. Lt. Gen. Charoenkiert Pankaew of the Central Investigation Bureau shared updates on the case involving Dr. B and the temple. He highlighted inconsistencies in Dr. B's testimony, suggesting it as a tactic for self-preservation. Though Dr. B claimed to have transferred all funds to Luang Por Alongkot, initial statements mentioned withholding some money. The investigation continues, with evidence gathering extending beyond testimonies. The financial trail involving Dr. B, including the withdrawal and partial transfer of 3 million baht, is under scr utiny. Pol. Maj. Gen. Charoonkiat remarked on the complexity of the situation, emphasizing the need for thorough investigation. While support is offered to both parties involved, the authorities insist on a fair examination of all evidence. The case remains open as officials delve deeper into the legal implications of Dr. B's actions.
