Bangkok: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs insists that Thailand will communicate with Cambodia only through official channels. The Ministry issued a statement affirming that Thailand will use these channels exclusively for communication with the Cambodian government, countering attempts to stir conflict on social media.
According to Thai News Agency, several reports from international organizations, including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and Amnesty International (AI), highlight that transnational crime is a significant threat. The Ministry emphasized its commitment to addressing issues such as call centers, online fraud, and human trafficking, which are recognized as causing substantial damage both economically and socially.
The statement also reiterated Thailand's readiness to play a leading role in international solutions to these problems. The Ministry called on the international community to cooperate with Thailand in suppressing transnational crimes in the region.
