Nakhon ratchasima: "Big Hong" Sunthorn Jarumong, President of the Billiard Sports Association of Thailand, congratulated the Thai national disabled snooker team for their impressive achievements at the World Disability Snooker Championship 2026, held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. The team's performance, which saw them clinch world titles in four categories, has elevated Thailand's status on the global stage.
According to Thai News Agency, the Thai athletes shone brightly, securing world championships and medals across various events. The list of champions includes Mr. Nampon Thongphusawan, known as 'Beer Cyber,' who claimed the World Champion, Gold Medal in Class WC 1; Mr. Surasit Loeisarakul, or 'Sit Muang Kan,' who triumphed in Class WC 2; Mr. Thanapol Seekhao, or 'Bom Ban Chang,' who excelled in Class AB 3; and Mr. Songkiat Raebankoh, or 'Pae Mahachai,' who won in Class AB 5.
In addition to these victories, the Thai team secured two bronze medals. Mr. Kraisorn Thongla, or "Pom Bangpa-in," earned a bronze in Class AB 3, while Mr. Somsak Saeleow, or "Leng Bangpakok," took home a bronze in Class AB 4.
The competition also saw participation from other talented members of the Thai national team, including Mr. Niwat Kongta, or "George Rajamang," in WC 2; Mr. Chai Mudkool, or "Chai Satun," in AB 4; and Mr. Kitikorn Chaiyachok, or "Arm Khon Kaen," in AB 5, all of whom delivered commendable performances.
This remarkable success was made possible under the mentorship of "Coach Tum" Surasak Weerapong, along with "Coach Thoon Pakkred" Witthoon Surathamchanraya, who played critical roles in strategizing and preparing the athletes. Their combined efforts ensured a top-notch performance from the team.
The Billiard Sports Association of Thailand also made significant contributions to the championship by providing an esteemed panel of judges, showcasing the nation's prowess not only in athletic performance but also in officiating at an international level.
