Bangkok: The Ministry of Commerce is advancing efforts to elevate "premium rice" and Thai agricultural raw materials into a world-class culinary experience. This initiative, known as the "Local Ingredients World Class Experiences" model, seeks to connect quality agricultural products with the food, tourism, and aviation industries. The goal is to increase value, expand markets, and generate tangible income for farmers.
According to Thai News Agency, the Department of Internal Trade (DIT) is collaborating with the private sector, specifically Heliconia H Group Co., Ltd., the producer of MasterChef (Thailand), and three major airlines: Thai AirAsia, Thai Airways International, and Bangkok Airways. This partnership aims to open new potential markets for Thai agricultural products to consumers both domestically and internationally.
