Thai Athletes Gear Up for Asian Beach Games with Gold Ambitions

Bangkok: A Thai contingent of 176 athletes is ready to compete in the Asian Beach Games. The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), in collaboration with various sports associations, aims to win 15 gold medals.

According to Thai News Agency, the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage organized the 64th Thailand National Junior Tennis Championships. The event was held at the National Tennis Development Center, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province, with competitions for the Royal Trophies bestowed by His Majesty the King and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The championships concluded on April 9, 2026.

Prior to the award ceremony, Mr. Suchai Pornchaisakudom, President of the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand, along with the association's executive committee, Ms. Wanitharat Boonsuphanit, Assistant Managing Director, Marketing Communications and Corporate Image Division, Government Housing Bank, and other distinguished guests, athletes, and stakeholders, observed a moment of silence. This gesture was to mourn the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother.
