According to Thai News Agency, the flooding situation in Satun Province has receded today, with water levels in many areas returning to normal. While La-ngu District and other districts should be affected, only low-lying areas downstream and along canals remain flooded, awaiting drainage. Meanwhile, in Satun Municipality, residents living near the entrance to the Satun Municipal Fresh Market have been cleaning up their homes and businesses to ensure they can reopen. Damaged goods, such as rice, have had to be discarded. Clothing vendors say the damage this year has been severe, with clothing damaged by the water now being sold at a loss, with prices dropping from hundreds to 10-20 baht.
The flooding in Satun Province has affected 7 districts, 31 sub-districts, 224 villages, 20 communities, 29,549 households, and 81,651 people. There have been 25 injuries and 3 deaths. It is expected that the situation will return to normal within 1-2 days.
