Sattahip: The Royal Thai Navy has officially welcomed 2,950 new recruits from the 1/69 batch, who have reported for duty and undergone comprehensive screening processes before embarking on an intensive 8-week training program. The recruits gathered at the Naval Recruit Training Center, Naval Education Department in Bang Saray Subdistrict, Sattahip District, Chonburi Province.

According to Thai News Agency, Vice Admiral Paithoon Chichana, the Director-General of the Naval Education Department, and Captain Tiwa Onla-or, the Commander of the Naval Recruit Training Center, personally greeted the new recruits at the reporting station. The officials inspected the operations and provided encouragement to the recruits who had just commenced their journey in the Navy.

The new recruits, part of batch 1/69, arrived in two phased groups. On May 1, 2026, recruits from central, eastern, lower northern, and northeastern regions traveled by bus. The following day, recruits from the southern region arrived by train at Plutaluang Station in Sattahip District, Chonburi Province, before being transported to the training center by Royal Thai Navy buses.

The reporting procedure for the recruits was efficiently executed, encompassing disease screening, inspection for drugs and prohibited items, registration for company affiliation, financial transactions, and the distribution of war garments. Each stage of the process was designed to ensure swift, safe, and smooth operations, facilitating the recruits' integration into the Royal Thai Navy family. The new recruits are set to undergo an 8-week training regimen aimed at developing their adaptability, strength, and courage as naval officers.
