Free Expressway Access Announced for Chakri Day

Bangkok: The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) will offer free access to three expressways on Chakri Day, May 4, 2026. This initiative will be in effect for 24 hours, from 00:01 to 24:00, providing relief to travelers on this national holiday.

According to Thai News Agency, the decision to waive tolls aligns with the government's and the Ministry of Transport's policies, as outlined in the amended concession agreement. This agreement involves the Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT), Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM), and Northern Bangkok Expressway Company Limited (NECL). The toll waiver aims to alleviate the financial burden on the public, allowing more accessible travel across the expressways during the holiday.
