Bangkok: The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) held a ceremony to receive the Royal Decree appointing the Chairman and members of the Election Commission.
According to Thai News Agency, the ceremony took place on December 12th and marked the official appointment of Mr. Narong Klanwarin as Chairman, along with Mr. Narong Rakroi and Mr. Anan Suwannarat as Election Commissioners. The official appointments are set to be announced on December 7, 2025.
The event saw the attendance of Mr. Thitichat Nuchanat, an Election Commissioner, along with executives from the Election Commission office and staff members. However, three members of the Election Commission were unable to attend the ceremony due to prior commitments. Mr. Chai Nakornchai has been on sick leave for two weeks due to health issues, while Mr. Lertwiroon Kowattana and Mr. Sitthichot Intrawises were also absent.
The ceremony signifies a significant step in the formalization of the Election Commission's leadership structure in Thailand.
