Bangkok: Kanvee Suebsaeng, formerly a member of the Pheu Thai Party, has announced his resignation from the Fair Party, acknowledging a critical error in his decision to support Anutin as Prime Minister.
According to Thai News Agency, Kanvee Suebsaeng shared a heartfelt message alongside a photo of his resignation letter, expressing his regret over misjudging the political situation during the vote. He stated that although his vote did not alter the eventual outcome, he learned a valuable lesson. He highlighted the consequences of the government's failed management of the flood crisis, rising border tensions, and ongoing societal oppression under the existing constitution and power structures.
Kanvee emphasized his responsibility as a former opposition member who prioritized ideological purity over effective governance. He expressed his commitment to ensuring that the voices of the people are included in the executive branch, should he be elected to parliament again. He vowed to actively participate in decision-making processes that affect the citizens' lives and the country's future, rather than remaining a passive observer.
He concluded his message by admitting his past mistakes and seeking another opportunity to represent the people. He promised to prioritize their needs and avoid hiding behind ideology or political strategies, aiming to genuinely serve as a representative of the people.
