According to Thai News Agency, His Excellency Mr. Abdulaziz Mohammed KA Al-Sada, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul upon assuming his duties. The Prime Minister welcomed and congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and affirmed Thailand's readiness to work closely with Qatar to strengthen relations and further develop cooperation to achieve tangible results.
The Qatari Ambassador expressed the Qatari Prime Minister's interest in an official visit to Thailand and congratulated Thailand on being honored to host the IMF summit. Qatar is ready to send high-level representatives, including the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank of Qatar, which will be another important opportunity to promote economic and financial cooperation between the two countries.
In the tourism sector, the Qatari Ambassador expressed confidence in Thailand's potential as a key destination for Qataris, particularly in medical and health tourism. The Prime Minister, meanwhile, invited Qataris to travel to Thailand more often and utilize medical services, assuring them that the Thai government is fully prepared to facilitate their travel. Both sides also recognized the potential for expanding cooperation in energy and food security, with Qatar being a vital energy partner for Thailand, and Thailand ready to be a reliable partner in supporting food security and strengthening supply chain resilience.
