Prime Minister and Wife Entertain and Cook at Singburi Walking Street


Singburi: The Prime Minister and his wife visited the Singburi Walking Street, showcasing their singing talents and culinary skills. Prime Minister Nu and his wife serenaded the crowd with the song “Homeland,” aimed at supporting soldiers, police, and officials stationed at the Thai-Cambodian border. They also turned into chefs, with the Prime Minister donning the role of “Chef Nu” to stir-fry rice mixed with shrimp paste and cashew nuts.



According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul led a delegation to engage with the public at a walking street in Singburi Province following inspections of flood-affected areas in Phichit, Chainat, and Singburi. During their visit, the Prime Minister stopped by the “Ood Nom Sod” hot milk shop, expressing a keen interest in sharing the menu with his team.



In a culinary demonstration, the Prime Minister prepared Singburi’s winning dish, shrimp paste fried rice, with his wife, Thananon Niramis, assisting by arranging and adding side dishes. The event also featured Anutin joining the Singburi Suntaraporn Lovers Club for a performance of “Thasa Devi,” where he danced with the elderly.



The Prime Minister further requested the song “Homeland” to be played, expressing a wish for it to be heard by military and police personnel at the Thai-Cambodian border. The attendees joined in the singing, which was met with applause, fostering a sense of patriotism and unity.



Following the musical interlude, the Prime Minister aided a vendor in preparing stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts. A resident also offered him chicken rolls to taste. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for economic stimulus efforts like the “Half-Half Plus” program and took time to interact with local residents, posing for photos as he strolled through the market.
