Bangkok: Sihasak received a letter from the United States to the Prime Minister requesting to act as a mediator to help resolve the Thai-Cambodian problems, reiterating Thailand’s four-point stance.
According to Thai News Agency, Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeaw addressed the US letter to the Thai Prime Minister, acknowledging that the Prime Minister had already given an interview yesterday, expressing his desire to assist with the Thai-Cambodian situation. He added that if we are to contribute to peace, we have four guidelines.
When asked if the Ministry of Foreign Affairs needed to take any further action, Mr. Sihasak stated that discussions had already taken place and communication had been made regarding priorities, and Thailand hoped for progress. He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also played a role in discussions with the United States.
Meanwhile, this afternoon, there will be discussions with Thai private sector investors in Cambodia.
