Bangkok: Police are investigating the mysterious death of a homeless man found in an abandoned building in the Khlong Tan area. The body was discovered hanging from different floors within the building, and authorities are working to solve the mystery surrounding the incident.
According to Thai News Agency, the body was discovered at 11:00 AM when officers from the Khlong Tan Police Station and rescue teams were alerted and dispatched to the scene in the Suan Luang Subdistrict, Suan Luang District, Bangkok. The deceased, an unidentified male, was found lying on the ground with injuries on his head and elbows, which appeared to be caused by sharp objects or broken glass. The man was wearing a red round-necked shirt and black shorts, and pools of blood along with scattered broken glass were observed throughout the building.
Mr. Samai, a 33-year-old local homeless man, reported that he had been sleeping in the building for about a week, drawn to the location due to its pleasant atmosphere. Typically residing under the Khlong Tan Bridge, Mr. Samai recounted that he left the building around 10 AM to purchase kratom water and marijuana. Upon his return, he discovered the body and immediately informed a motorcycle taxi driver to contact the authorities for investigation.
Initially, the police coordinated with Chulalongkorn University's forensic team and rescue workers to collect evidence. The body was transported to Chulalongkorn Hospital for an autopsy to further investigate the circumstances of the death.
