Pyongyang: North Korea's supreme leader Kim Jong Un has lauded the nation's military achievements in the year 2025, as reported by the country's state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Friday. During a crucial meeting of the ruling Workers' Party, Kim praised the involvement of North Korean troops in overseas military operations, emphasizing the prestige these actions have brought to the military.
According to Thai News Agency, Kim Jong Un expressed optimism about North Korea's trajectory, predicting a doubling of progress and self-reliance by 2025. He highlighted the success of the country's five-year policy plan, which he claimed had surpassed its initial limitations and is on the path to full development.
Furthermore, Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin have strengthened ties by signing a defense treaty. As part of this agreement, North Korea has provided military support to Russia, sending troops, artillery, and missiles to aid in the conflict against Ukraine.
The meeting this week is seen as a preparation for the upcoming ninth National Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea, expected to be held early next year, where further policy plans and actions will be determined.
