Bangkok: The New Vision Party made a significant debut at the Novotel Bangkok Future Park Rangsit Hotel, announcing its innovative policies and readiness for the upcoming election. Mr. Pichet Sathirachaval, the party leader, along with Mr. Thongrob Dan-Amphai, the party's strategic chairman, and Mr. Sutho Saengkam, the party secretary-general, were present at the lively event attended by numerous supporters. The event highlighted the party's executive committee, central and regional management, and candidate selection committee, showcasing their preparedness to contest the elections.
According to Thai News Agency, the New Vision Party introduced Mr. Thongrob Dan-ampai and Mr. Pichet Sathirachaval as their prime ministerial candidates. They outlined four key policy areas focusing on economic, political, social, and security reforms. Economically, they aim to introduce a bill promoting interest-free financial institutions. Politically, they advocate for the "One Party, One Ministry" policy to limit MPs and ministers to a maximum of eight years. Socially, they propose a "Second Home for Thai Senior Citizens" policy, and for security, they plan to address unrest in the southern border provinces.
Mr. Pichet Sathirachaval shared that the party, founded in 2019, emerged from the New Vision Group, a collective of professionals seeking political solutions to Thailand's longstanding issues. Initially planning a nationwide candidate presence, the party had to adjust its strategy due to premature parliamentary dissolution, now fielding candidates in seven provinces while submitting a full list of 100 candidates for the party-list system.
The party emphasizes solving economic issues, particularly through the proposed Interest-Free Financial Institution Act, aimed at eliminating the problems caused by interest charges. This initiative is expected to attract foreign investment currently hindered by legal barriers.
Mr. Thongrob Dan-ampai expressed his readiness to serve as Prime Minister, drawing on his experience in Islamic banking to promote a system valuing human potential equally. This approach aims to address poverty, inequality, and injustice, offering citizens new options for reducing debt burdens.
Mr. Sutho Saengkham highlighted the party's preparedness, including the use of technology in the election campaign, and expressed confidence in winning more than 25 seats, driven by their core policy of interest-free financial institutions.
The New Vision Party also announced a policy to transform community health centers into comprehensive elderly care facilities, offering 24-hour care and professional training for caregivers, funded by local and governmental sources. This initiative seeks to maintain the elderly's connection to their communities while alleviating hospital overcrowding.
The event culminated in a policy speech by the party leader, advocating for a "human economy" that values life and social contribution over monetary wealth. This vision seeks to revitalize the Thai economy and establish a foundation for a civilized nation through human-centered policies and interest-free finance.
