Phuket:Local authorities are organizing a celebratory event for 16-year-old Rattikarn Amloy, better known as "Nene Royal," after her win on America's Got Talent 2026.
According to Thai News Agency, Romdon Hayeearwae, the deputy governor and spokesperson for Phuket province, announced that the schedule for her homecoming is being finalized. Upon her return, Nene Royal and her family will be paraded through Phuket Town in an open-top electric vehicle, an event coordinated with the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization, Phuket City Municipality, and private partners.
The Ministry of Culture is also involved, planning to present gifts and traditional Thai attire to the young star, highlighting her achievement as part of Thailand's soft power initiatives.
The victory is expected to have a positive impact on local tourism, especially as the talent show showcased Phuket as a prime travel destination. The Tourism Authority of Thailand is optimistic about an increase in tourist arrivals due to this international attention.
To capitalize on this momentum, provincial authorities are planning a youth music competition at Central Phuket in collaboration with local organizations to foster young talent. The homecoming event will carry the slogan "FROM PHUKET. TO THE WORLD. - Welcome Home, Nene Royal."
