Ayutthaya:The flooding situation in Ayutthaya province is severely impacting residents, particularly in low-lying areas along the Chao Phraya River in Bang Bal district. Water levels surged unexpectedly during the night, catching many households off guard and unable to relocate their belongings to higher ground in time.
According to Thai News Agency, villagers have expressed dissatisfaction with the clarity of officials' warnings, stating that they lacked sufficient time to gather their possessions. Despite closely monitoring the water situation, including updates on water releases from the Chao Phraya Dam and the Chai Nat area, residents were surprised by the rapid overnight increase in water levels.
Some residents were forced to hire additional help to move their belongings to safer areas. They are calling for relevant agencies to provide clearer and more timely warnings to better prepare the public for such events in the future.
