Songkhla: The person accused of setting a dog named Molly on fire has been taken to court this afternoon for remand and will face serious charges.
According to Thai News Agency, investigators have prepared to take a 56-year-old man to Songkhla Provincial Court this afternoon, where he faces charges of arson, property damage, and animal cruelty without justifiable cause. The charges stem from an incident involving "Molly," a Siberian Husky, who was allegedly set on fire after biting the man's fighting rooster near his house.
Molly's tragic death has sparked increased public awareness about animal cruelty and the treatment of pets, particularly dogs. In response, The Hope Animal Welfare Organization in Songkhla has visited the community where the incident took place, actively promoting the Animal Cruelty Prevention Act to prevent similar incidents in the future.
