Bangkok: "Lawyer Tum" is under significant stress following an exhaustive interrogation session with three senior officials from the Central Investigation Bureau. The intense questioning lasted more than five hours, raising tensions as investigators prepare to search the Sittra Law Firm the following morning for additional evidence before detaining him in the afternoon and opposing bail. According to Thai News Agency, the Crime Suppression Division was the scene of activity after the arrest of Mr. Sittra Biabangkerd, known as Lawyer Tum, and his wife, Mrs. Patitta Biabangkerd. The couple was brought to the division at 1:45 p.m., and the questioning of both suspects has been ongoing for over five hours. Separate interrogation rooms were set up, and lawyers from Sittra Law Firm were present to observe the proceedings. Pol. Lt. Gen. Akkaradej Pimolsri, assistant national police chief, disclosed that the interrogation involves numerous unresolved issues, indicating that the questioning could extend beyond 10:00 p.m. Decisions regarding the detention of the suspects at the complaint center building will depend on the details and completion time of the day's interrogation. The Crime Suppression Division is poised to conduct a search of the Sittra Law Firm on the morning of November 8 to uncover further evidence. While plans to search the residences, reportedly consisting of seven houses, are also on the table, the detention of Lawyer Tum and his wife is likely to occur before noon on November 8, coinciding with opposition to bail at the investigator level. The stress experienced by Lawyer Tum and his wife is palpable, largely due to the high-ranking police officers involved in the investigation, including Pol. Maj. Gen. Charoenkiat Pankaew, Pol. Maj. Gen. Suwat Saengnum, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Montree Thesakan. Despite the pressure, Lawyer Tum acknowledges that the police are treating them well, and both he and his wife have not requested any special treatment.
