Bangkok: "Lawyer Saiyut" is set to visit "Lawyer Tum" this afternoon, with plans to discuss living conditions rather than legal matters at this stage of the process. The visit comes as part of an effort to provide support to Lawyer Tum and his wife during a challenging time. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Saiyut Pengbunchu, the lawyer representing Mr. Sittra Biabangkerd, also known as Lawyer Tum, disclosed that his visit would focus on ensuring Lawyer Tum's well-being, including financial support for his daily needs. While there are intentions to discuss the ongoing legal battle, these conversations will be postponed until after a five-day quarantine period, allowing for private discussions. The lawyer emphasized that, for now, the priority is to address day-to-day concerns without delving into the legal complexities. Only after the quarantine will the legal strategy be discussed in detail. Lawyer Saiyut assured that any concerns about Lawyer Tum's safety in the new-generation prison, which has strict p reventive measures, are unwarranted. Regarding the legal proceedings, Lawyer Saiyut dismissed concerns about delays in the investigation process. He highlighted that the Crime Suppression Division's timeline, which ranges from 6 to 72 days for submitting the case file, is being adhered to. The investigation is ongoing, with numerous witnesses from the accuser's side yet to be examined. The involvement of expert witnesses will depend on the agency implicated in the allegations against Lawyer Tum. If a government agency is involved, a subpoena will be necessary. Otherwise, cooperation will be sought to ensure voluntary testimony from all witnesses.
