Bangkok: Khet Tharakhet publicly demanded payment from the opposing party, stating that partial payment has been received. If the matter is settled, there will be no further legal action.
According to Thai News Agency, following the earlier incident where actor Khet Tharakhet posted on his personal social media demanding payment for a TV program he had worked on two years ago but had not received in full, despite previous statements that the other party had paid some amounts, further payments have been frequently delayed. Recently, Nine Entertainment reporters met Khet at his dim sum stall at the 2025 Red Cross Fair. He opened up about the payment issue, stating that the other party has contacted him and made a partial payment at the end of last month, but a significant amount remains. He expressed relief that while he appreciates the other party showing some responsibility, he wants the matter resolved as quickly as possible since the project ended many years ago.
Regarding the feeling of having to demand payment publicly, Khet said it didn't seem nice. Having to talk about money or debt through the media isn't something he wants to do, and he feels bad for the reporters who keep asking the same questions. However, he wants everyone to understand that it's very upsetting that they completed the work almost three years ago and haven't received full payment. It's especially unacceptable if the matter drags on and is repeatedly postponed. He has tried to be kind and compromising throughout, and although there hasn't been an official lawsuit, he has sent notices. If the matter is resolved, a lawsuit won't happen.
Regarding communication with the other party, Khet revealed that the other party hasn't disappeared and is still in constant contact with his personal manager. They always provide reasons and answers as to why payment hasn't been made, but the problem is that the payments are being postponed indefinitely, with no end in sight. He wants the other party to take more responsibility. Finally, Khet left a message for the other party, hoping the matter can be resolved by the end of this year so they won't have to discuss the debt again next year. He pleaded, "I really want this to be resolved this year. Please, let it be a New Year's gift for me! Amen! So we can both go our separate ways and fulfill our duties. I don't want to have to ask about this again next year. It's not good at all."
