Bangkok:The Immigration Bureau has officially introduced the "THIM" (Thai Immigration Application) to digitize its services, aiming to improve convenience, safety, and efficiency for foreign travelers during their stay.
According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Lt. Gen. Phanumas Boonyalak, Commissioner of the Immigration Bureau, explained that the THIM application was designed to streamline processing steps and increase service efficiency, addressing space limitations at airports.
The application features key travel services, including the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), which allows foreign visitors to submit arrival details quickly and accurately. It also offers an "Explore Thailand" feature, providing useful travel information for tourists.
Future plans for THIM include expanding it into a fully integrated, one-stop service platform. This will incorporate features such as appointment queue bookings, requests for certificates of stay, visa extensions, 90-day notification reporting, and Visa on Arrival (VoA) processing.
Since its launch on August 1, 2026, the THIM application has been available on the App Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei AppGallery. It has recorded over 600,000 downloads, with active users exceeding 580,000, representing approximately 97.2% of total downloads.
