Bangkok:Flooding in the city is worsening due to continuous rainfall, severely affecting transportation in several areas. The intersection of Phahonyothin 54/1 in Sai Mai district has been completely submerged, leading to significant traffic congestion.
According to Thai News Agency, the persistent rain has caused water levels to rise onto the sidewalks around the Phahonyothin 54/1 intersection, creating hazardous conditions for small cars and motorcycles. Vehicles are slowing down to navigate through the flooded areas, exacerbating traffic delays both inbound and outbound, particularly in front of Ying Charoen Market and on surrounding roads.
Residents of Khlong Sai Mai are increasingly concerned about the rising water levels in the nearby canal, which are threatening to overflow. Many households have started moving their belongings to higher ground in anticipation of potential flooding, as the weather remains overcast with continued rainfall.
