Bangkok: Chao Phraya Express Boat has announced a 1 baht reduction in fares for all types of boats due to a decrease in diesel fuel prices to 40.80 baht per liter. The reduction will take effect from Saturday, June 20, 2026 onwards.
According to Thai News Agency, Lieutenant Commander Charoenporn Charoentham, Managing Director of Chao Phraya Express Boat Co., Ltd., stated that the fare reduction is a result of the decrease in diesel fuel prices, which was recorded at 40.80 baht per liter on June 11, 2026. This adjustment will be applied across all boat services operated by the company along the Chao Phraya River, spanning from Pak Kret Pier to Wat Ratchasingkhon Pier.
The specific fare reductions include the Orange Flag Boat on the Nonthaburi – Wat Ratchasingkhon route, with fares reduced from 19 baht to 18 baht. The Yellow Flag Ferry on the Nonthaburi – Sathorn route will see fares drop from 24 baht to 23 baht. For the Green and Yellow Flag services, the Pakkret – Nonthaburi route will decrease from 17 baht to 16 baht, the Nonthaburi – Sathorn route from 24 baht to 23 baht, and the Pakkret – Sathorn route from 36 baht to 35 baht. Additionally, the Red Flag Ferry, which is air-conditioned, on the Nonthaburi – Sathorn route will see a fare reduction from 33 baht to 32 baht.
Lieutenant Commander Charoenporn Charoentham also mentioned that should oil prices fall again, the company is prepared to further reduce fares accordingly.
