Hat yai: Boom Panadda, president of the Good Organization Foundation, has allocated 1.5 million baht for the acquisition of new boats to aid the rescue foundation in providing timely flood relief.
According to Thai News Agency, despite the receding water levels in many areas, the southern region's flooding remains severe, leading to significant loss of life and property, particularly in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province. Various sectors continue to assist residents trapped in their homes. Among the responders is Sia Jeh, who instructed the rescue team to mobilize. Boom Panadda, a leading figure in disaster relief, acknowledged the rescue team's dedication after joining the relief efforts.
In a gesture of support, Boom Panadda, representing the Good Organization Foundation, invested in the purchase of 4-5 new boats, distributing them to partner organizations. This initiative aims to equip rescue teams with necessary tools for effective response in future flooding. She expressed gratitude to donors for their ongoing support of the foundation.
On November 28, 2015, Boom shared on her Facebook page, "1.5 million baht is the budget that the Good Organization Foundation intends to use to buy 4-5 new boats to send to the foundation's partners who are helping our brothers and sisters in the South. Each boat is damaged because officials lack the funds to purchase them. We will arm the team so that next time there is a flood, the rescue team will have the tools to help people in a timely manner.
