Bangkok Police Raid Locations Linked to Israeli Business Network

Bangkok:Police conducted raids on three locations associated with a network of Israeli businessmen in the city center.

According to Thai News Agency, the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), in collaboration with several government agencies, carried out this operation. The raid was led by Pol. Lt. Col. Wisanu Chimtrakul, Deputy Director-General of DSI, and included the Department of Provincial Administration, the Department of Business Development, the Revenue Department, the Institute of Forensic Science, the Immigration Bureau, and the Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECSD). The search targeted the Chabad Foundation in Thailand on Phra Athit Road, a building on Narathiwat Ratchakarin Road, and the Chabad House construction project on Sukhumvit Soi 22.

The search aimed to gather documents and evidence for further investigation. At the Chabad Foundation, operations were proceeding as usual, with Israeli and other foreign tourists checking in. Pol. Gen. Ruddhaphol Naowarat, the Minister of Justice, was expected to arrive at 1030 AM to receive an initial report and provide further instructions.

A press conference is scheduled for 200 PM, where Pol. Gen. Ruddhaphol Naowarat, accompanied by executives from the Ministry of Justice, the Department of Special Investigation, and other related agencies, will announce the findings of the operation at the Ministry of Justice building on Chaeng Wattana Road in Bangkok.
