Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, Thailand's Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has reaffirmed his commitment to evaluating the performance of his ministers and the Bhumjaithai Party. His comments came in response to a recent Facebook post by Rakchanok Srinok, a list MP from the People's Party, who sarcastically urged Bhumjaithai Party MPs to quickly deliver results in defending Chaiyanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister Anutin addressed the Facebook post by emphasizing that the performance targets of the Bhumjaithai government for the upcoming year are a matter for the party itself, and others should not interfere. Anutin retorted to Rakchanok's comment, stating, "That's our business, others are not." He further remarked, "Wash your feet clean before giving a sermon," suggesting that critics should self-reflect before passing judgment.
The Prime Minister expressed that he continually assesses his ministers' KPIs, focusing on their dedication and commitment. He mentioned that while he evaluates their performance, he also provides guidance if he identifies any areas needing improvement. When asked about the adequacy of a year as a timeline to measure the ministers' performance, Anutin simply responded, "One day is already too long," highlighting his intention for prompt and continuous evaluation.
