Bangkok: "Yotchanan" starts his first day at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, unveiling the BACKBONE roadmap. On April 10th, Mr. Yotsanun Wongsawat, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), officially began his duties. He was welcomed by executives and staff, and together they paid respects to sacred sites for good fortune before he delivered his policy directives to the ministry's executives.
According to Thai News Agency, a roadmap, Action Plan 2026-2030 'BACKBONE,' was launched, aiming to advance science, technology, and innovation, laying the foundation for a sustainable new economy. It also focuses on promoting universities as knowledge centers and accelerating research to meet the needs of the business sector and the public, reducing the problem of unapplied research.
