Bangkok: Celebrating 74 years of MCOT's partnership with Thai society, the organization invited distinguished guests to an event where MCs and news anchors wore traditional Thai clothing.
According to Thai News Agency, the atmosphere at the event was filled with warmth and pride. Hosts and news presenters donned "Thai silk," beautifully showcasing Thai identity in a contemporary style. The attire reflected the meticulous craftsmanship of the fabric and tailoring, underscoring its appropriateness for the occasion.
'Pla Kamolnet Nualchan' wore a Choms 'Thai Classic' outfit, featuring hand-woven silk cotton fabric. Made from natural fibers and meticulously crafted, the garment offered a soft, bouncy, lightweight, and comfortable feel, reflecting simplicity with profound value.
"Noynae Vanessa Samakshruthi" appeared in an elegant look wearing Choms Thai Silk ~ Yaowaret, an ikat silk fabric that blends modern Thai design. The unique pattern placement and color palette created a contemporary feel while retaining the essence of Thai silk. The fabric was soft, had a pleasant sheen, and was comfortable to wear.
"Pim Kiatiya Thammavipat" chose the "Ob Rak" (Embrace Love) dress, which was striking with its three-dimensional black brocade cotton fabric. The weaving technique used a heddle to control the warp threads, combined with special weft threads to create intricate patterns, resulting in a beautiful and dimensional effect on the fabric. This clearly reflected the exquisite craftsmanship of Thai artistry.
