Weir Sukollawat Takes Family on Mountain Trip to Japan for Daughter’s Social Skills Development

Tokyo: Believing that building immunity in children is important, veteran actor Weir Sukollawat recently took his daughter, Vicky and Wirin, on a mountain trip to Japan in early December 2025. The father of one said it was fun, but stressed that "it's not fun if you're not tired. Every time we travel, we try to find something challenging to do besides sightseeing or cooking delicious food, so we sometimes go mountain climbing. We want to create shared family memories, and seeing our child enjoy it makes us feel good. At first, it was tiring, but once we saw views we'd never seen before, the more tiring it was, the more beautiful it became. The more time we spent together, the better the memories. I believe every family wants to create shared memories. And because the parents love it, the DNA is in the family. The child didn't complain; she wanted to travel with us, anywhere as long as her parents were there."

According to Thai News Agency, Weir revealed that he is trying to build resilience in his daughter for the future, unsure of what society will be like. He explained that through conversation, activities, and shared experiences with her, he teaches her what is edible and what is not, and discusses natural disasters to help her survive. He mentioned that his daughter, Vicky, recounts events like floods, and he agrees, saying things like, "Yes, that's what Mom said, we have to do it this way." She understands because she's at an age where she needs to learn and remember. She even asks questions repeatedly until he's sure she remembers. Weir added that his daughter even knows that tsunamis occur underwater. He said his daughter has a bright mind, and that he and his parents share interesting news with her, explaining that they can't wait for others to help them, they have to help themselves.

After today, they'll have free time until early next year. Weir plans a trip to spend time with his daughter in Thailand and celebrate New Year's Eve at home, possibly going camping. His daughter also enjoys outdoor activities. Regarding the orchard at home, Weir said that currently, the produce is for their own consumption and sharing with friends. He emphasized his desire to improve the quality of his produce and has a well-organized system with the help of others, and he wants everyone to wait and taste the harvest.
