Tottenham Hotspur Parts Ways with Manager Thomas Frank Amid Relegation Concerns

London: Tottenham Hotspur have officially sacked 52-year-old Danish manager Thomas Frank as head coach following a series of poor results in the Premier League. The "Spurs" have won only two of their last 17 matches, and their most recent game was a 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle on Tuesday night. This has seen them drop to 16th in the table, just five points above the relegation zone, and they remain winless in the league since the start of 2026.

According to Thai News Agency, although Frank successfully led the team to the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League, their league performance fell short of expectations, leading the board to decide to part ways with him in order to avert the risk of relegation.

Leading British media outlets report that Tottenham Hotspur have immediately begun implementing contingency plans to find a new head coach. This would make him the sixth manager the club has hired in less than seven years since Mauricio Pochettino left the team in 2019.

In related news, Nottingham Forest have officially announced the departure of 54-year-old English head coach Sean Dyche after just four months in charge. The decision comes after a disappointing run of results, with the "Forest" winning only 3 of their last 13 league matches. Their most recent game ended in a 0-0 draw at home against bottom-of-the-table Wolverhampton Wanderers, despite having 35 shots on goal. This leaves the team in 17th place in the Premier League, just 3 points above the relegation zone.

This dismissal makes Sean Dyche the third Forest manager to be sacked in a single season, following Nuno Esprito Santo and Ange Postecoglou.
