The heaviest day of rainfall during this period occurred on September 21st, when Typhoon Dujuan passed through the Kanto region, including Tokyo, bringing up to 156 millimeters of rain. The typhoon resulted in severe weather conditions, including landslides and river overflows, leading to 14 fatalities in areas surrounding Tokyo.
Eastern Japan is expected to continue experiencing rainfall until around October 1st, influenced by a frontal system responsible for the autumn rains.
