Burglars broke into a noodle shop on Pattaya North's Soi 3 in the middle of the night, making off with over 20,000 baht worth of valuables, including donation money for a Buddhist merit-making ceremony. Nearby businesses are warned to be more vigilant.
According to Thai News Agency, the incident occurred on September 2, 2026, at approximately 4:00 AM. A suspicious man, riding a motorcycle without license plates, parked in front of a famous Yen Ta Fo (Thai noodle soup) restaurant on Pattaya North Soi 3. He was wearing a helmet and gloves to cover his face and spent almost an hour ransacking the place.
Ms. Bunyanuch, 24, the shop owner, revealed that several items were stolen, including 2,000-3,000 baht in donation money from the temple, 1,000 baht in coins prepared for customer change, a DJI camera worth approximately 17,000 baht, and 8 bottles of drinks, totaling over 20,000 baht in damages.
From the CCTV footage, the suspect is believed to have been to the store, posing as a customer to scout the area and observe the situation before returning to commit the crime. We urge nearby businesses to be more vigilant.
A complaint has been filed at the Pattaya City Police Station to urge officers to quickly arrest the perpetrator and bring him to justice. The public is urged to report any suspicious men to the police so that the criminal does not commit similar crimes against other businesses.
