BWG Opens Its Doors to Strengthen Community Relations in Saraburi Province

Saraburi: BWG opens its doors to foster community relations, hoping to be the starting point for the community and BWG to coexist.

According to Thai News Agency, Better World Green Public Company Limited (BWG) held the 'BWG Open House for Community Relations' at its Industrial Waste Management Center in Saraburi Province. The event, attended by over 1,500 participants including local administrators, community leaders, and residents from Huai Haeng, Nong Pla Lai, and Kut Nok Plao subdistricts, aimed to showcase the company's internationally standardized waste management operations.

Mr. Akrawit Khankaeo, Vice Chairman of BWG, emphasized the company's commitment to engaging with communities through visits, care, and feedback. The event sought to strengthen ties between the company and the community by allowing residents to witness their waste management practices firsthand. Mr. Pramote Kanpho, a BWG executive, led a tour of the hazardous industrial waste landfill, demonstrating the safety measures and processes involved, including drone thermal monitoring and wastewater treatment systems.

Mr. Chindanai Raksaedan, director of Wat Nong Nam Khiao School, expressed relief at seeing the high standards maintained by BWG. Meanwhile, Mr. Chalermpol Sareenon, a specialist advisor, acknowledged the importance of mutual reliance between the company and the villagers, highlighting that concerns have been addressed.

Ms. Siam Sontem, a local resident, recalled initial apprehensions about the landfill but noted that the community's understanding improved as they observed the company's operations and community support. She expressed optimism about BWG's plans to further develop the area into a community space with recreational facilities.

BWG introduced the "BWG Green Runway - A Green Route for the Community" initiative, focusing on long-term environmental and community coexistence. Future plans include a running track, skywalk, tower, Ferris wheel, and playground. The event also included games, prize draws, and a meal, promoting a lively and engaging atmosphere.
