Thammanat Challenges Rakchanok’s Brief Visit to Phayao

Phayao: Captain Thamanat Phromphao, chairman of the advisory board of the Kla Tham Party, has downplayed the significance of Ms. Rakchanok Srinok's visit to Phayao Province, questioning her understanding of the region after a brief visit. He responded to Ms. Rakchanok's campaign efforts, which were met by a large crowd, by asserting that a single day in the province does not provide enough insight into local dynamics.

According to Thai News Agency, Captain Thamanat commented on Ms. Rakchanok's campaign visit as part of her candidacy on the party list for the People's Party. He highlighted that his presence in Phayao is limited since he is not running for Member of Parliament in the area. He mentioned Mr. Akkarat Phromphao, who is running for MP in Constituency 1, as the focal point of their campaign efforts in the region.

Captain Thamanat emphasized the developments in Phayao Province under his influence, stating that he has contributed significantly to transforming it from a transit city into an economic hub, nearing the status of a major city. He noted that the only missing element is an airport, which is currently under study. Once the budget for this project is finalized, an airport will be constructed, further elevating Phayao's importance.

When questioned about the rumors of a desire for change among Phayao's residents, Captain Thamanat dismissed these claims, challenging the credibility of such observations based on short visits. He urged others not to deceive themselves about the province's situation and requested that discussions focus on other provinces instead.
