Thai Taekwondo Team Receives Flu Vaccinations Ahead of 2025 SEA Games

Bangkok: The Thai taekwondo team and their coaches have received influenza vaccinations as part of their preparation strategy for the upcoming 2025 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Nithiwat Kitsriurai, Director of Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital, led a medical team in administering the flu shots to bolster the athletes' immune systems. This initiative is intended to ensure the team maintains good health during their rigorous training and upcoming competitions, particularly the SEA Games 2025. The vaccination event took place at the Taekwondo Association of Thailand, with Asst. Prof. Pimol Srivikorn, President of the association, welcoming the healthcare team.

The Thai taekwondo athletes are preparing to compete in the 33rd SEA Games, scheduled to occur from December 10-13 at Island Hall, Fashion Island Shopping Center. The team aims to secure 20 gold medals during the event.

Among the events, the poomsae category will see the first medal competition for this SEA Games. In the women's singles category, athlete Sasipa Chuphon is poised to compete for the first gold medal on December 10th at 9:00 AM.
