Thai National Golf Team Sets Sights on Gold at 33rd SEA Games

Chonburi: The Golf Association of Thailand has unveiled the Thai national golf team, confident in their pursuit of gold medals at the 33rd SEA Games in Chonburi Province.

According to Thai News Agency, the Golf Association of Thailand is intensifying its preparations by introducing the national golf team and coaching staff. The team, led by head coach Preecha "Pro Pui" Senaprom, is gearing up for the SEA Games, scheduled from December 11-14 at Siam Country Club, Rolling Hills, in Chonburi Province.

The male golfers representing Thailand include "Anfield" Prin Sarasamut, "Win" Thanawin Lee, and "Ono" Warut Boonrod. Additionally, "FIFA" Pongsapat Laopakdee, the 2025 Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship champion, currently studying in the United States, will join the squad during the SEA Games.

Among the female golfers, "Prim" Prachaya Nakhon and "Fai" Pimpisa Rabot, who recently secured the women's team silver medal at the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, will be joined by "Natch" Kritchanya Kaopattanasakul, the women's team champion at the 2025 Singapore Open Amateur.

The 33rd SEA Games golf competition will feature 4 gold medals across men's and women's individual and team events. At the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia, the Thai golf team achieved success by winning 2 gold medals in team events and 1 silver medal in the women's individual event. The team last swept all 4 gold medals at the 2015 SEA Games in Singapore. The golf events will take place from December 11-14 at Siam Country Club, Rolling Hill, in Chonburi Province.
