Liverpool: Isaac is ready to play in the away game against Man City this Sunday.
According to Thai News Agency, Sweden national team manager Graham Potter is confident that Liverpool striker Alexander Isak will be ready to play in Sunday's Premier League trip to Manchester City after calling up the star player despite his injury.
Former Newcastle United striker Isaac has not played for Liverpool since their 5-1 Champions League thrashing of Frankfurt on October 22nd due to a groin injury and was substituted at half-time for Federico Chiesa. However, Potter shocked the club by calling up Isak to the squad for the two World Cup qualifiers away to Switzerland on November 15 and welcoming Slovenia on November 18, even though he had not played in the previous four games.
The former West Ham manager recently expressed his belief that Isaac could play for the national team, but may not be fit enough to play a full game. He added that he is confident that the Reds will be able to field him in the Premier League game away to Manchester City this Sunday.
